ISLAMABAD (Online) - A two-member bench under the supervision of Justice Jawad S Khawaja restarted hearing of the dual nationality case in which counsels of 20 dual nationality holders appeared before the court.Barrister Faroogh Nasim told the court that his clients and MQM’s parliamentarians Raza Haroon, Haider Abbas Rizvi, Syeda Tayyba Hussain, Abdul Hameed Siddiqui and Nadim Ahsan have been asked to returns all the perks and salary, but they are not in the position to comply with the orders.He said that the tenure of the assembly was finished so no action could be taken against the former MNAs and MPAs.On which the court said that the bench would put the applicants in six different categories. Separate hearing would be held for every group and each of them would give argument during their respective proceeding.In the first category those people would be kept which got dual nationality by birth as they did not apply for it. Doniya Aziz and Arif Aziz Sheikh fall in this group. Second class would be comprised those member of the parliaments who tendered resignation before the expiry of assembly tenure. Four former parliamentarians including Sabeen Rizvi, Irish Kumhar, Sadiq Memon and Murad Ali Shah are in the second group.The third group consists of those parliamentarians who did not give resignation till the last day of the assemblies. They were asked to return all the pay, allowances and perks back in the government exchequer, which they received during last five years as MNAs and MPAs.The fourth group will be of those people who cannot return the salaries and perks due to weak financial position and the sixth category is comprised those members who quit dual nationality.The court postponed hearing till May 2.
