ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan has returned the former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s reply in the treason case by raising technical objections and for using inappropriate content.

Earlier, the reply submitted on behalf of the former president by his counsel, requested that a full court bench be formed and the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhamamd Chaudhry should not be part of it.

It was further stated in the reply that the Federal government has a right to establish a treason case and if the Supreme Court directs the federation to do so then it would be interfering in the administrative matters.

The Registrar raised objections on the reply and returned it, stating that the paragraph pertaining to the Chief Justice was inappropriate.

The case was heard by a two-member bench of the apex court comprising of Justice Jawaaz S Khawja and Justice Khilji Arif.
